I’ve been on a home improvement kick since both vehicles are effectively “done” (less the lowering springs on the Stringbean).
Tore out this dookie microwave which did a terrible job at venting anything
And swapped it with this guy (still debating on backsplash. Possibly white subway tile with stainless trim.)
The mailbox was originally on the other side of the driveway. Moved it, almost hit it too many times and it warped so built this guy out. It degraded heavily in the first year.
Stained a few days ago and just finished sealing it. Nice improvement. And no comments about my penguins flag. I've been missing watching hockey and it's making me irritable.

Also, those projects are well done, the hood vent is under-rated by so many people, maybe no one cooks anymore? anyway, useful looks good and means you don’t have to crouch to stir the pot in the back.

Nice work! Our stove is literally in the middle of the house. We’re talking about a remodel, so I may have a chance to install a good vent hood and vent it properly through the attic.

It's a contractor special. Looks good enough to pass initial inspection. It's ducted out the attic and roof but every time I turned it on to vent it would just recirculate into the kitchen. This one works world's better and is pretty quiet.
